A 23-year-old man from Fort McMurray has been charged in the death of a 78-year-old woman.

R-C-M-P say Roslyn Nelson was found dead in her home in Armena, southeast of Edmonton, on Friday.

Nicolas Dagenais was arrested Saturday and is set to appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on November 26th.

Police say they are not looking for any other suspects. (The Canadian Press)



Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says he will meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa tomorrow.

Moe says he'll emphasize three priorities he raised earlier when the federal Liberals were returned to government with a minority in last month's election.

They include adjusting the equalization formula, as well as putting a one-year pause on the carbon tax.

Moe suggested late last month that increased support for western separatism is the end result of what has gone on over the first four years of a Trudeau government. (The Canadian Press)



Relatives of a man, woman, and a baby who were found dead after a mobile-home fire in Manitoba say the blaze has also orphaned four children.

The bodies of 28-year-old Jennifer McLeod and 36-year-old Bobbyjoe Lindsay, along with their two-year-old daughter, were discovered after firefighters extinguished the fire near the community of Plumas on Friday afternoon.

Jessica McLennan-Hopkins, McLeod's cousin, says the couple had four other children who are up to 12 years old and were at school when the fire happened.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. (Winnipeg Free Press)
