PROGRAM

WHAT can be done to obtain the executive talent that is needed for the immediate emergency? And what can be done to overcome the reasons which cause men to refuse Federal jobs in which they could contribute to the public welfare?


CREATING AWARENESS

To procure the needed executives, a realization of the critical nature of the current emergency must be created. This country's business leaders must understand and accept ungrudgingly the necessity of making available for civilian public service some of their ablest executives. Relatively few businessmen now yield their aides because they are already concerned about the current emergency. A few leaders among business and professional men must accept the responsibility of convincing their fellows that governmental efforts to build our national defenses and to control inflation are of such consequence to the busi-
