A Crisis of Complexity?
As we saw in the preceding chapters, the new world economy brings unprecedented opportunities to all kinds of players, including catch-up opportunities for developing countries able to seize them. But it also brings several categories of stresses—which add themselves to the long list of social and environmental stresses that accompany the population increase.
