Since her first novel, Flowers in the Attic, was published in 1979, V. C. Andrews has remained a popular writer of horror stories, especially among teenagers. Her tales of childhood terror, inhabited by cruel grandmothers, incest victims, and abused children, continue to fascinate readers years after her death.
