The WSA provides information and emotional support to individuals with the characteristics of WS, their families, and professionals who work with them. It develops programs and services to help build upon the strengths and deal with the challenges of WS, encourages and supports research, and seeks to increase public awareness and understanding of WS. It is a very active organization that serves as a clearinghouse for information and initiates projects designed to enhance the lives of WSs and those associated with them.
WSA Regional Associations—-There are eleven WSA regional groups covering the USA: Far West, Northwest, Mississippi Valley, Mid-Atlantic, South Central, Great Lakes, Rocky Mountain, Upper Midwest, Tri-State, Southeast, and New England Region. Each has its own program of activities and events, officers, and state representatives. The WSA National Newsletter, Heart to
