By completing this questionnaire, you will help to determine how public relations and communication programs should be managed to make the greatest contribution to the success of an organization. This questionnaire is one of three that will be completed by people in your organization. The head of public relations and the CEO will complete questionnaires. Many characteristics of an organization and its communication system, however, can be recognized only by rank-and-file employ ees. You have been chosen as one of 20 such employees in this organization to complete this third questionnaire. Thus, your responses are extremely important.
Your organization has been chosen as one of 300 to be studied in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom—including corporations, associations, government agencies, and other nonprofit organizations. The survey is part of a 6-year study funded by the IABC Research Foundation of the International Association of Business Communicators and several corporations. The questionnaires have been developed by researchers at the University of Maryland, Syracuse University, San Diego State University, and the Cranfield Institute of Technology in the UK.
