I have to day appointed Dr Alexander Sharp of Missouri Brigade Surgeon to be attached to my staff and would respectfully ask that the appointment be confirmed.
Dr Sharp is my brother in law and I know him to be in every way qualified for the post. He is a citizen of Lincoln County Missouri and is a member of the Home Guard having joined it on its first organization. He is a union man tried and true and will I
