The Steamers John Galt,Jefferson and Treawater Bell, prizes just brought in to this Port by Gun Boat to gether with their cargoes will be turned over to the Collector of Customs for this Port.
The officers and crew will be detained as prisoners until instructions are received from St. Louis what disposition to make of them.
I would also recommend the appointment of two or more Army officers to examine their books and safe and make a report of contents.
