Fifty Contemporary Filmmakers

Penalty Kick; Paris, Texas won the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 1984; and he gained Best Director award for Der Himmel über Berlin (Wings of Desire). Since the mid-1990s he has mainly made his movies in the US in English. He is currently shooting In Amerika in the US, using digital technology.
