A golf club on a volcano

Abstract

This paper describes a golf club on a volcano and evaluates possiblites it offers. The optimal location was made taking into consideration several geographic peculiarities. These included sea level, benign wind and volcanic drainage.

Introduction

The Royal Golf Club of Las Palmas, (founded 1891), located inside the Bandama Natural Park on the Atlantic island of Grand Canary, haves an unusual character. This is brought about by the peculiarities of the geography (plate 1) and soils amongst other factors and particularly the climatic circumstance of the zone.
