Jude Cassidy, PhD, is Professor of Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research interests include attachment throughout the lifespan, children’s peer relations, and intervention with high-risk infants. She is co-editor of the journal Attachment and Human Development.
Phillip R. Shaver, PhD, is Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Davis, where he recently served as department chair. His research interests include attachment processes in adult relationships, close relationships more generally, and human emotions. He is author or editor of eight books, including In Search of Intimacy and Emotions, Relationships, and Health, past editor of Review of Personality and Social Psychology, and former Executive Officer of the Society of Experimental Social Psychology.
