Thomas R. Guskey is professor of educational policy studies and evaluation at the University of Kentucky. He has taught at all school levels, worked as a school administrator in the Chicago Public Schools, and was the first director of the Center for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning, a national educational research center. He is a regular presenter at national educational conferences, has served as consultant to educators in every state and several foreign countries, and was recently featured in a special segment on National Public Radio. He is author of many awardwinning books and articles that bring clarity to some of education's most complex problems. Most important, he is a struggling but caring and very proud parent.
