David A. Dubofsky is Professor of Finance at Virginia Commonwealth University. From 1997 to 2002, he served as the chair of VCU's Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate. He came to VCU from Texas A&M University, where he worked for sixteen years. He is the author of over twenty-five articles in refereed journals, including The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, and The Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking. Dr. Dubofsky received his B.E. in Chemical Engineering from the City College of New York, his M.B.A. from the University of Houston, and his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Washington. He is a CFA charterholder.
Thomas W. Miller, Jr., is an Associate Professor of Finance at St. Louis University. Previously, he taught at the University of Missouri—Columbia from 1992 to 2001, where he was honored with numerous research and teaching awards. In addition, he was a visiting professor at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He has also taught in the CIU summer program, located in Paderno del Grappa, Italy. Dr. Miller has published articles in The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, The Journal of Empirical Finance, The Journal of Banking and Finance, The Journal of Futures Markets, and RISK. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Economics from Montana State University and his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Washington.
