Rob Silzer is managing director of HR Assessment and Development, Inc. For the past 25 years he has consulted with managers and executives at over 100 organizations to leverage psychological knowledge and expertise to accomplish business objectives. He has specialized in executive and management leadership, team selection and development, and strategically driven HR systems. He recently coedited Individual Psychological Assessment: Predicting Behavior in Organizational Settings with Richard Jeanneret and coauthored Human Resource Development: A Study of Corporate Practices with Rosemary Slider and Michael Knight. He regularly writes articles and delivers workshops and symposiums on leadership, executive selection and development, HR practices, psychological assessment, and succession planning for psychology professionals and organizational clients. He has served as president of NY Metropolitan Applied Psychology Association, president of PDI-New York, senior human resources director at a major U.S. business corporation, adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota and New York University, and on the Editorial Board for Personnel Psychology. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in both industrial/ organizational psychology and counseling psychology, an M.S. in social psychology from Florida State University, and a B.S. in experimental psychology and chemistry from Southern Illinois University. He is a frequent mountain trekker and scuba diver around the world.
Marcia J. Avedon is vice president, human resources, Honeywell International. She earned her B.A. in psychology with honors at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (1983) and both her M.S.
