Daniel L. Dreisbach is a professor of justice, law, and society at American University in Washington, D.C. He received a D.Phil. degree from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar, and a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia. He has authored or edited several books, as well as numerous chapters and articles in scholarly publications, on religion, politics, and law in American history. He lives in Virginia with his wife and two daughters.
