The Structure of Staff
In these chapters we study four interlocking dimensions of staff development design that results in student achievement. The selection of content (usually curriculum and instruction) is critical, and training needs to take advantage of knowledge about how we add to our professional repertoire. Studying our use of the content in classrooms—our implementation of new repertoire—makes our progress apparent. Evaluating our process and its effects on students enables us to celebrate our accomplishments and figure out how to do even better the next time around.
