ABBREVIATIONS

The abbreviation of Scottish works has been facilitated by the guidelines set out in List of Abbreviated Titles of the Printed Sources of Scottish History to 1560, published as a supplement to the Scottish Historical Review, October 1963. Minor conventional abbreviations are not noted.
