Intellectual Disability Resources
Depending on the state, clinicians and families can obtain information on local services, other resources, and entitlement to services from the state department of mental retardation, the state department of public health, or the state department of education.
These programs, located in all states, focus on provision of clinical services, training professionals, and research related to developmental disabilities. Clinicians might refer patients to such programs and/or use them as sources of information about services in their areas. The addresses and details about the AUCD may be obtained from:
