Using the Internet

WHAT IS KEEP -IN -TOUCH MARKETING? Simply it is each time you contact a customer. Because 80 percent of business comes from 20 percent of your customers, keep in touch with that 20 percent as often as possible. These are interested customers that are looking for or inclined to purchase your service or particular product because they already know you and trust you.

However, each “touch” needs to respect the customer by including more than a sales pitch. In fact, there may not be a sales pitch at all. For example, it may be suggestions and tips on how to make life easy for your customers. However, all communication includes your business name and contact information. This type of marketing works equally well for Internet businesses as well as for “brick-and-mortar” businesses that also have a Web presence. Some of the ways to keep in touch and in front of your targeted customers are offering free newsletters, special reports, or monthly inspirational quotes that provide relevant information and serve as a platform to promote and sell e-courses, e-books, and other products and services.

The free offerings and resources develop a relationship with your customers. Because they need to get comfortable with you, people rarely buy on the first visit to your site. In order to stay in touch and keep your name in front of them, you want your site visitors to opt in to your e-mail list.
