Students will be able to:
Explain the consequences of the overhaul of British imperial policy following the Seven
Years War
Understand how British policy and the colonial response led to the Revolution

DESCRIPTION
Students will convene as a court of inquiry to report on how key pieces of British legislation— and the colonial response to those measures—led to the break with Great Britain.
TIME
60 minutes
MATERIALS
What Went Wrong? (copy for each student)
PREPARATION
Reserve the computer lab.Write the following list on the board:
Sugar Act (1764)
Stamp Act (1765)
Quartering Act (1765)
Declaratory Act (1766)
Townshend Acts (1767)
Tea Act (1773)
Boston Port Act (1774)
Massachusetts Government Act (1774)
Administration of Justice Act (1774)
Quartering Act (1774)
Quebec Act (1774)
