TABLE OF SOURCES
The following table of sources is intended to establish the breadth of the base upon which this study of Donne's imagery is founded. As I pointed out in the introductory chapter the number or mere quantity of images is of limited significance; the appended table must be approached in the light of the interpretation which has preceded.
The table is divided according to the titles and subtitles of the chapters of the text. It should be noted that of the total of 2,261 images 86 are duplicates resulting from cross-classification and 96 are vague or unclassifiable.
