Lehman's Lieberman Joins HVB Real Estate Banking Team

HVB Real Estate Investment Banking, a commercial real estate subsidiary of the HVB Group, has recruited Seth Lieberman from Lehman Brothers as a joint managing director to spearhead its European business.Lieberman, who will be based in London, will work with Maitland Bruce and the existing four-strong team at HVB Real Estate Investment Banking. The division was set up in 2002 to offer advisory and arrangement services on commercial real estate finance deals.
Lieberman, a specialist in property deals, was previously an executive director in the global real estate finance group at Lehman Brothers in London, where he was responsible for developing property lending and investment opportunities throughout Europe. Before joining Lehman in June 2000, he was a principal of Praedium Funds Group at Credit Suisse First Boston.
Lieberman has 18 years' experience of property lending and investment banking, and has worked on international business development, loan origination, equity investments as well as asset management and the workout of problem loans. …
