Wenger Figures out His Target for Title

ARSENE WENGER believes Arsenal can afford to drop nine points in the Premiership run-in and still take the title.
Wenger has demanded that his team win their last five home games, and predicted that just six more points from five away matches will make them champions.
The Gunners look capable of achieving that target, which would mean they could afford to lose three of their last 10 games. That is hardly likely given that they have suffered only four League defeats all season, three fewer than title rivals Manchester United.
Wenger, who does not expect United to finish on more than 74 points, said: 'I have always felt that 73 or 74 points would win the championship. Now I think 75 would guarantee it.
'I said to the players at the beginning of the year that if they won all their games at Highbury we would be in with a chance. I told them that if we are to be competitive with United, we have to be efficient at home.
'Before Christmas we lost some bad games at home - the results against Liverpool and Blackburn were the worst. …
