NREA to elect new officers
The National Real Estate Association (NREA), the countrys one-stop trade organization of real estate professionals and practitioners, will hold its annual general meeting and election on Friday, Nov. 28, 1 p.m. 5 p.m. at the Sampaguita Room, Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan, Metropolitan Manila.
Up for election are 15 members of NREA Board of Trustees, who in turn, will elect from among themselves the executive officers to run the association for year 2004, it was announced by Architect Felino A. Palafox Jr., current national president.
Incumbent officers include Jose V. Manalad, chairman; Dante V. Liban, immediate past president and vice chairman; Nestor S. Mangio, executive vice president; Arminda A. Alaras, vice president-internal; Marino B. Bacani, vice president-external; Conrado S. de Leon, vice president-chapters; Evelina V. Estrada, acting secretary general.
Francisco A. Mendoza, treasurer; Gilda C. Lim, auditor; and Romeo Thaddeus R. Liamzon, public relations officer.
Other members of the board of trustees are: Bienvenido G. de Castro; Manuel M. dela Cruz; Benigno B. Gotoc Sr.; and Adelaido S. de Guzman.

Servant leadership meet set
Dr. Federico M. Macaranas, dean of Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Center for Development Management (CDM), is scheduled to talk on the topic Exploring the Heart of Servant Leadership during the three-day multi-sectoral leadership conference slated on December 1-3 at the AIM Conference Center in Makati City.
Dean Macaranas, who is also the president of the Center for Servant Leadership in the Philippines, will expound on the intrinsic characteristics essential to the development of future servant leaders.
These qualities are: listening, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, stewardship, commitment to the growth of other people and community, and humility.
The three-day conference with the theme Building a Community of Leaders and Organizations Through Good Governance is being organized by the International Movement of Development Managers (IMDM), a professionals network composed of graduates of the AIM Master in Development Management program.
