Boeuf figures on a shortlist of potential replacements for Cash Asmussen drawn up after it was confirmed yesterday that the Texan's short-lived association with the four-year-old was over.
'It is felt that Cash and Helissio aren't suited to each other and hence the reason for the decision to end the partnership,' Bruno Ridoux, racing manger to Helissio's Spanish owner, Enrique Sarasola, said.
Boeuf took the brunt of the blame for Helissio's only defeat on European soil last season.
That day the colt desperately fought for his head when Boeuf tried to restrain him in the early stages.
Subsequent efforts showed that Helissio would produce his best when allowed to stride on. But Ridoux yesterday indicated that Boeuf had been forgiven. 'He knows the horse
