Mystery Writers to Speak, Sign Books at Schaumburg Library

Whether you are a reader, a writer, a lover of mysteries, romance or adventure, you're sure to enjoy two upcoming author visits at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.
New York Times best-selling author Suzanne Brockmann, author of the "Troubleshooter" series about a U.S. Navy SEAL Team, will visit the library at 7 p.m. April 12 in the Rasmussen Room. The Minnesota Crime Wave - three mystery authors - will discuss their works at 7 p.m. April 13 in the Rasmussen North Room. Copies of the authors' books will be available for purchase and signing at both events.
Brockmann's two series featuring Navy SEAL Teams Sixteen and Ten began in 1996 with "Prince Joe." Both of her miniseries have won numerous awards and her SEAL heroes have won the hearts of readers around the world. According to her publisher, Brockmann "delves into the adrenaline-rushed world of counterterrorism and taps into the real passions of its brave men and women."
Brockmann has also written romance and romantic suspense novels. The paperback version of her latest novel, "Gone Too Far," hit the shelves on March 2, while her next one, "Flashpoint," will be out March 30. Recent romance selections include "Into the Night," which won the 2002 Romantic Suspense Dorothy Parker Award of Excellence; and "Out of Control," voted Favorite Book of the Year by the Romance Writers Association. …
