Suspect in DFA Exec's Murder to Undergo Fingerprint Analysis
The suspect in the killing of Department of Foreign Affairs official Alicia Ramos will undergo fingerprint analysis, a source at the National Bureau of Investiga-tion (NBI) said yesterday.
But NBI Director Reynaldo Wycoco declined to disclose the identity of the suspect, who is now under the custody of the NBI after his arrest by police in Rodriguez, Rizal.
"The NBI which has the facility to make analysis on fingerprint as well as the traces gathered from the crime scene will make ana-lysis so the suspect must be put in our custody," said the source.
Wycoco said NBI investigators have established robbery as the motive of the killing. But he opted not to comment further. "I cannot give further details. We are still in critical point here. Coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) will continue until the case is solved," he said.
The NBI had earlier requested Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) technicians from Southern Police District Office (SPDO) to turn over forensic evidence they gathered in connection with the brutal killing of Ramos. …
