Boys & Girls Clubs Campers Take Part in History, Art, Essay Contest
More than 150 Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida summer camp students recently took part in the Rogers Towers 100 Years of Jacksonville History, Art and Essay Contest. At an awards ceremony at the Laurence F. Lee Unit at 313 E. 10th St., each participant received a backpack.
The entries were judged by Rogers Towers attorneys and staff, who selected first-, second- and third-prizes in three categories: pictorial, timeline and essay. Winners received laptop computers, those in second place received $250 J.C. Penney shopping sprees, and those in third place received $100 J.C. Penney shopping sprees.
