Pressley Silver Lining in Reshuffle

STEVEN PRESSLEY is set to win his 25th cap against Norway tomorrow and a silver medal from the SFA.
The Hearts captain looks certain to return to Walter Smith's World Cup line-up as part of the reshuffle that will be required courtesy of Christian Dailly's suspension.
Smith may even consider a threeman central defence as Pressley scents the honour bestowed by the Hampden hierarchy for those players who reach 25 appearances.
Midfielder Nigel Quashie is an injury doubt for the Ullevaal Stadium clash because of a hip problem, but Smith expects the Southampton star to declare his fitness to help keep changes to a minimum from the 1-1 draw with From Italy. The Scotland boss accepts that the odds are now stacked against his side making second place, with Norway having a fivepoint advantage following their 3-2 win in Slovenia.
'I have maintained since I took over that I was looking at performances first and foremost rather than the results or the situation in the group,' said Smith, who has brought in Scott Severin of Aberdeen as midfield cover.
'It just gets a bit more frustrating when you think that you might have had a wee chance.
'We have to get on with it and, once again, hope that other results work in our favour. If Norway had drawn in Slovenia on Saturday night, we would have had four teams separated by three points and all with three games left. …
