Pounds 200,000 Boost for Women's Training; EDUCATION: Courses Will Help Careers and Families

WOMEN in Coventry can improve their skills and employment prospects in a new free training scheme.
Foleshill Women's Training has won a pounds 200,000 grant to run educational projects for women from disadvantaged communities.
The centre, in Elmsdale Avenue, Foleshill, has launched training schemes covering confidence, motivation, communication, information technology and adult teaching.
The courses will help women gain qualifications to help their careers, family and community life.
One of those benefiting from Foleshill Women's Training is 24-year-old Neeru Dahar, who is working as a volunteer at the centre after recently arriving in the UK from India.
She has since improved her office and computer skills, which include translating into Hindi and Punjabi, and is now working on beauty therapy sessions for women.
She said: "I am very glad that I am working with an organisation which serves a socially and diverse community.
"I was not very confident before but I gained a lot of confidence after working with Foleshill Women's Training. …
