Church's Lecture Series Focuses on Ethical Issues

The leaders of The Evangelical Free Church of Naperville know that sometimes it takes more than Sunday worship to help people sort through moral issues that pop up the other six days of the week.
That's why the Rev. Rick Pierson and church member Greg Pritchard launched the church's first lecture series that explores ethical issues.
"Making Sense of Life: Christian Worldview Lecture Series" will include one discussion each month beginning today through April. Guest speakers will discuss each topic from an Evangelical viewpoint.
"Each Evangelical Free church pursues things they want to do to be more aware of society issues and relate to people and educate the congregation," said Jennifer Kindelin, the church's assistant of global ministries.
Church leaders especially hope this series will appeal to teens, college students and adults in the area.
The first lecture, happening today, is "Stem Cell Research: Does it Matter? A Look at Bioethics." It will be presented by David Cook, who holds a Ph.D. from New College at Edinburgh University and is a member of the faculty at Oxford University in England. …
