Dialog Information Services, Inc., has announced a new addition to its DIALOG OnDisc family of CD-ROM products: DIALOG OnDisc Market Research Locator/Findex: The Worldwide Directory of Market Research Reports, Studies, and Surveys, produced by Cambridge Scientific Abstracts.

Market Research Locator was developed as a tool for market research departments and firms, management consultants, business school and research institutes, and public libraries. The database provides abstracts of currently available market research reports from over 700 U.S. and non-U.S. publishers. Containing over twice as much information as the print publication, FINDEX: The Worldwide Directory of Market Research Reports, Studies and Surveys, this database has approximately 17,000 abstracts of market and industry studies, consumer studies, multi-client studies, surveys, market audits, and reports on major companies.

The database's coverage includes virtually every aspect of business, from the basic industries--metals, minerals and glass, forestry and paper, rubber, plastics, chemicals, and agriculture--to business and finance, construction, consumer durables and non-durables, electronics, telecommunications, defense, energy, health care, publishing, retail, and transportation.

Market researchers can quickly locate relevant research reports for a specific industry, find sources for consumer product trends in emerging markets, or determine if relevant survey information exists before embarking on primary research. …
