Western Union Inaugurates Asia Regional Operating Center
The Western Union Company, a global leader in money transfer services, opened Friday its Asia Regional Operating Center (AROC) in Quezon City. The new regional center is based within the world-class facilities of VXI Global Solutions, Incorporated (VXI), an award-winning customer interaction solutions provider.
Western Union senior executives Ian Marsh, executive vice president, and David Larkworthy, senior vice president, together with senior officials from the Department of Trade and Industry, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration and the Anti-Money Laundering Council attended the inauguration ceremony.
As part of Western Union's continued expansion and commitment within Asia Pacific, AROC will provide dedicated customer service, Agent support as well as backroom operations for 37 countries and territories in the region. The new facility, located in the largest city in Metro Manila, is also expected to provide significant employment opportunities to local residents in the Philippines.
