IT IS an extraordinary image that sums up the murky world of Russianpolitics and business.
The figure on the right in the main picture is Andrei Lugovoy, the ex- KGBofficer suspected of murdering former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko inLondon in 2006.
With him, in a large white hat, is Badri Patarkatsishvili, the exiledbillionaire who died of an apparent heart attack aged just 52 at his [pounds sterling]10millionSurrey mansion last week.
Again, the finger of suspicion pointed at Mr Lugovoy, who once worked as theGeorgian's security adviser and was a friend for more than a decade.
With them is another billionaire, oil tycoon Boris Berezovsky who, like MrPatarkatsishvili, fled Russia after being accused of plotting a coup.
The picture was taken at the Dombai mountain ski resort on the Russian/Georgian border in December 1999..
Mr Patarkatsishvili, who was worth an estimated [pounds sterling]6 billion, was a sworn enemyof Russia's president Putin and spoke only recently about a murder plot againsthim.
Mr Lugovoy has admitted that he spoke to Mr Patarkatsishvili as recently as aweek ago. …
