ST ANNE'S ROVERS marched on with another victory as they comfortably overcame Fearn Park Rangers in the Walton and KirkdaleUnder-13s League.
From the outset Rovers piled on the pressure and Rangers keeper Michael Burk was quickly called into action to stop a 20-yard effort from Rovers skipperNoah Robson.
He could do nothing about the opener on 10 minutes however, Shaun Smith the player breaking the deadlockwhen he ran into the box and blasted the ball high into the net from a tight angle after a perfectly weighted pass fromLukeMather.
Smithmade a big impact running at the Rangers defence and gliding crosses into dangerous areas, which forward Rory Stewart narrowly missed.
After good work on the right wing for Rovers, Kayne Chappell was brought down by Sean Langton, then, from the resulting free-kick, a left-footed in-swinger from Callum Watson eluded everyone and found itsway past keeper Burk.
Dominating in midfield, Rovers' Robson played a slick pass to Smith who was stopped by a timely tackle from defend er Langton, before Smith latched onto the loose lofted the ball over the but justwide of the post.
