Animax Supports Filipino Talents
PROMAX/BDA is the professional association for promotions and marketing executives in electronic media worldwide. Members of the association include all major terrestrial, cable and satellite television stations and associated media, advertising and production companies. Tracy Wong, Animax Asia director of creative services, directed the video, which was designed by Hue Visualab, a Malaysian broadcast design and animation studio. Presented in an anime-inspired visual style that characterises the channel, Pupil's members were animated in the worlds of sci-fi, mystery and action in the music video. "Set Me Apart" premiered pan Asia on Animax and has garnered tens of thousands of hits online and topped a local radio station's chart last year.
LaMB: An Animax Original Production
This year, the channel also announced the launch of its biggest project for 2008 titled "LaMB," an entertainment showcase that is spread across three screens - TV, online and mobile. "LaMB" is Animax's first original production in High Definition, and promises to revolutionize the entire entertainment experience via how content is delivered and marketed to consumers.
"LaMB," the brainchild of Filipino amateur writer Carmelo S. J. Juinio, who submitted his 50-page entry for the regional script-writing competition called Animax Awards, impressed and captivated Japanese industry experts with its dark beauty and soulful depth, and was accorded a Special Award recognition for his amazing talent. Handpicked from over 3,000 entries across Asia, Carmelo's LaMB has a storyline that is not only innovative and intriguing, but extremely thought-provoking as well, as it touches on all aspects of concern to today's young adults - environment, politics, romance and technology.
Designed specifically to appeal to a demographic that grew up with the dawn of the mobile era and the information highway, LaMB is an important initiative under Animax's strategic drive to engage the youth.
