1,200 Cops Get Criminology Degree Thru Distance Learning

The distance learning program is being offered to PNP personnel by the University of La Sallette (ULS) in Santiago City, Isabela under its Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) that is duly recognized by the Commission on Higher Education
A Memorandum of Agreement between the PNP and the ULS was signed recently to ensure continuity of the ETEEAP B.S. Criminology Program, Doria said.
"This is a chance for all PNP personnel to fulfill their dreams of obtaining their bachelor's degree or to have a second course. Review classes for the (Professional Regulation Commission) PRC Licensure Examinations for criminologists and graduate degrees are also included in the program," Doria added.
While enrollment to the ETEEAP is at the expense of the PNP personnel, those who complete the requirements of the program can relieve themselves of attrition concerns and may look forward to opportunities for lateral entry or officer positions. …
