Industry-Based Learning - the Future of the Newport MBA; MBA and Post Graduate Studies
ENTREPRENEURSHIP and leadership are the main themes for the Newport MBA programme, which offers students the opportunity of continuing life-long learning and professional development through an industry-focused integrated curriculum designed to enhance employability and career progression.
The programme provides full-time students with work-based learning opportunities via an internship in a local organisation, while students studying part-time are given work-based learning through an action learning project in their workplace.
"The programme, which includes globalisation and stakeholder management as elective modules, is up-to-date, relevant and delivered according to market needs," explained Lyndon Murphy, senior lecturer in Management on the MBA programme at Newport Business School.
"MBA students have the opportunity to acquire and develop a range of business-related skills such as enterprise, leadership, decision making, problem solving, communications and business ethics."
