HISTORY repeated itself for childhood sweethearts from Coventry when they renewed their wedding vows - exactly 50 years on.
Graham and Beryle White, of St Ives Road, in Wyken, returned to St Laurence Church, in Old Church Road, Bell Green, on Saturday to say "I do" all over again.
Their magic day was repeated along with son Neil, daughter-in-law Andrena, and grandchildren, James and Catherine.
Beryle, who was aged 20 when she married, said: "Graham is very romantic and had arranged much of it without me knowing.
"He's even taking me to Guernsey where my wedding ring was made." The couple, who met at Broad Heath Secondary School, admit
Coventry City FC is their second love.
Following the service they changed into their footie gear to roar the Sky Blues match against Reading.
Graham, a retired machine tool fitter, said: "We've spent all of our married life supporting the Sky Blues - so I guess it was only right that went to the game after the service. …
