Jury Is Still out on G20 Aid Package

AFTER days of tough negotiating at the G20 summit where world leaders have thrashed out their plans for global co-ordination to beat the worldwide economic crisis, is there now light at the end of the bleak and gloomy tunnel.
Did the summit signal a new era and usher in a new world order, have the months of organising and outlining measures in pursuit of global economic recovery provided a united plan to save us all from the current recession? While the general consensus was positive there is still widespread scepticism the measures suggested failed to go far enough to ease the world's economic concern and the leaders are staring into an abyss with no real solution.
But what did come from the G20 summit? Well, US President Barack Obama described the G20 summit agreement to a $1 trillion package of measures as "historic".
But the question needs to be asked, who will benefit from this money? And when will we see the benefits of this package of measures? Workers at Jaguar Land Rover are still waiting to see if they are to receive a share of the pounds 2. …
