SIXTIES beauty Marianne Faithfull was at the centre of a blazing airport bust-up which ended with her manager arrested for assault.
A female British Airways manager was allegedly hit in the face during a row with the singer and on-off lover Francois Ravard.
The pair had arrived at Gatwick for a flight to Bologna and Ravard was clearly under the influence of alcohol, according to a source.
Faithfull, 62, and Ravard had an excessive amount of luggage so were directed to an administration desk where a BA worker became concerned that he was too intoxicated to board the flight to Italy.
The duty manager was called and Ravard, 51, then became "very hostile and argumentative", the source explained.
In front of stunned passengers, the manager was allegedly threatened and assaulted by Ravard.
Police were called and he was handcuffed and led away.
Officers then questioned Faithfull, who began to cry. The singer was later permitted to take her business-class seat on the flight, which took off on Thursday night. …
