Midland specialist Parker Software is blazing a high-tech transatlantic trail in the education sector - with a string of international client wins.

Customers lined up by the Staffordshire firm include the University of Wales and Princeton University in the United States as well as successes in Florida, Kansas, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

More than 40 major universities and colleges across the world have signed up to the benefits of Parker Software's Email 2DB software which helps them streamline business processes, increase efficiency and strengthen customer relations by automatically processing emails and updating databases..

Email2DB is a product designed for businesses that receive orders, payments or any other type of regular formbased information via e-mail. It extracts field data, which is then used to update databases. Email2DB can send custom e-mail responses, process attachments and update Outlook Contacts.

Experts say the education sector is finding the tool particularly useful to process web forms, with more student applications, event registration, general inquiries and surveys received or undertaken online.
