Negros Occidental Receives P83 Million for Services Delivery
NEGROS OCCIDENTAL - More than P83 milion has been spent in the three-year implementation of the Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) Project in the province.
The amount covered the construction of 45 sub-projects in the towns of Cauayan, Don Salvador Benedicto, Hinoba-an and Moises Padilla.
The total project costs of 45 sub-projects amounted to P83,092,000. Of the total project cost, P52,035,000 is a grant from the World Bank and the Local Counterpart Contribution (LCC) of the four municipalities amounted to P31,057,000.
The LCC is the 30 percent of the total project cost of approved sub-projects. The LCC comes in form of cash and kind. The cash contribution is 18 percent of the total approved project cost and the remaining 12 percent comes in form of materials or labor. The remaining 20 percent is in the form of a World Bank grant released to finance the construction of subprojects.
Sub-projects refer to the different infrastructure projects such as road, health station, community production economic and service facility, school, day care centers, water system, environmental protection and preservation and foot/small bridges. …
