Products and Services by Vendor

This section contains a lot of coded information. Here's what it all means: In all of our Software categories, we gave vendors the option of checking off seven platforms: Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Mac, Unix, and Other. Hence, each product that is software will be followed by any or all of the corresponding abbreviations. This way you can know immediately if a piece of software that you'd like to buy will run on your library's system.

Also, we asked vendors to provide more detailed data under two specific software categories: Integrated Library Systems Software and Network Operating System Software. In the boxes on the right you can see the choices that we offered, and then under each vendor's listing you can tell exactly what sort of ILS and Operating System Software it sells.
