AN Supplies Playing Key Role in Energy Cost Reduction; NEW ENERGY DIVISION WILL AID CUSTOMERS' GREEN CREDENTIALS

AN Supplies is an industrial electrical wholesaler dedicated to promoting energy efficiency throughout South Wales.

Its remit is to help customers meet Welsh Government legislation in relation to carbon reduction in line with its energy conservation policy.

The company was established in 1976 at a site in Aberkenfig before moving to the Bridgend Industrial Estate and then to its present location on North Road in 2000.

"Our corporate history is one of continued expansion," said managing director Jeremy Cooke.

He added: "After Bridgend we opened a branch in Swansea on the Enterprise Park followed by outlets in Newport and Cardiff and three years ago we launched our first branch in England at Evesham.

As a business, AN Supplies continually strives to diversify into products that help local businesses become environmentally conscious.

The company employs 40 people between five sites including nine external, dedicated sales engineers who look after its commercial customers in sectors ranging from steel production to food manufacturing.

Mr Cooke said: "Here in North Road we support local business through our large range of stock which is available on a just-in-time basis, supported by a busy trade counter that services local businesses and a delivery service which includes 24-hour emergency call out.

He continued: "We supply products from a variety of leading manufacturers which include industrial switchgear, automation and commercial electrical installation equipment."

As part of its overall strategy, AN Supplies has set up - in conjunction with its industrial partners - an Energy Division headed by Michael Burgess.

Commenting on this, Mr Burgess said: "The intention is to help our customers reduce their energy costs and carbon footprints in line with current government legislation. …
