Rocky Setting Makes a Way into Literature
FOR Rockhampton-born author Leigh Cunningham, Rockhampton remains a great source of inspiration.
Now living in Singapore, the award-winning writer often finds herself thinking of her childhood when she explored Frenchville on a bike with her friends.

After leaving Rockhampton in 1994, years before starting her first novel, Leigh found the landscapes she had grown up with set the perfect scene for her books.
C[pounds sterling]Some of the areas described in my book are based on some of the places I used to play at as a kid. I find it really helps to paint a realistic image if you draw from real experiences,C[yen] she said.
Working as a lawyer, it had always been Leigh's dream to write professionally, but she could not find the time while working in such a demanding job.
