German Quality-Scottish Craftsmanship!
The Kitchen Depot has been around a long time and has created and fitted superiorquality kitchens for thousands of totally satisfied customers. As a family-owned business, to this day the company stands by its founding values of honesty, integrity and professionalism. And key to these values is the emphasis on exceptional quality at a very affordable price. Says Jim McCay, The Kitchen Depot's MD, "Anyone can start a business but to successfully sustain it year after year as we have done takes real commitment, not only our to customers, but also to our staff and to our suppliers. By making these commitments and sticking by them, we can deliver a superior product at the most competitive price in the market place - time after time after time."
"IT'S THE WAY WE BUILD THEM" A significant demonstration of this commitment by The Kitchen Depot to superior quality at an exceptional price has been the massive investment in their own factory. Explains Paul Dahlstrom, Production Manager "By investing in our own, modern manufacturing plant, we have given ourselves several significant advantages over our competitors. Firstly, we control not just the quality of the raw materials that we select - we use only 18mm top quality fibre-board for our cabinets which makes them strong enough to support the weight of one of our trucks, we also control the quality of manufacture which is to a high German specification - so we are not dependent upon a third-party's standards for the quality of our product. Now, ask yourself, how many kitchen suppliers can say that! Not many, that's for sure."
QUALITY AND VALUE - GUARANTEED FOR 25 YEARS! Paul went on to explain the further advantages of self-manufacture, "By building our own product, we are not having to pay a supplier a margin by buying the product in - so our costs of a top-quality kitchen are consequently lower - which means terrific value at a lower cost for our customers." And there's even more from the The Kitchen Depot's way of working. By not being dependent upon a kitchen supplier as a consequence of manufacturing in-house, The Kitchen Depot can usually turn round an order in next to no time and deliver a brand new kitchen in a matter of days. But perhaps the real benefit of The Kitchen Depot manufacturing their own kitchens to a pre-determined standard of quality is the confidence that the company has in its own product.
"You see," says Mark McCay, Operations Director "because we know what we have put into manufacturing our kitchens - we know exactly what our customers will get out of them. So we have no hesitation whatsoever in guaranteeing our kitchens for 25 years! …
