Since inception of Pakistan, major power generation projects and Siemens are synonymous in the country including Tarbela, Ghazi Barotha, Kot Addu, Guddu, Fauji Kabir Wala and Rousch Power Plants. Siemens power generation solution includes steam turbines up to 1900 MW and gas turbine to the rating of 378 MW - the largest in the world. We are also front runner in the coal gasification and integrated gasification combined cycle applications ensuring lower emissions and better efficiencies.
For oil and gas market we offer state of the art solutions for up-stream and down stream process compression and co-generation applications. By the end of this year Siemens gas turbine compressor trains at two of our most prestigious gas compression projects Kandhkot and Sawan shall be fully commissioned. This will be helpful in bridging the gap between demand & supply of gas in the country.
With a portfolio ranging from 4 to 50 MW in Gas turbines and up to 180MW in Steam turbines we have the capability to provide customized solutions for all industrial needs. With the added portfolio including TLTfans, blowers, process and air separation compressors for waste water treatment plants and pre-designed steam turbines ranging from 45 kW to 10 MW; we are now able to respond to customer requirements especially in the sugar and fertilizer industry. We are producing Distribution Transformers since 1963 and Power Transformers since 1982 while currently having the production capacity to produce transformers up to 220kV. Siemens Pakistan has provided more than 200,000 Distribution Transformers to WAPDA, KESC and numerous private sector customers. To date, more than 7,000 transformers have been exported to Kuwait alone and hundreds to Yemen, Saudi Arabia Brunei and North America.
