What an extraordinary issue! I'll save it for my grand-girls, great-grand-girls, nieces, and cousins. In addition to educating us about heroic and courageous women all over the world, it gives us courage to continue to fight our own battles as free women with the right to choose, participate, and lead in every arena of life. Each story in this issue was so well written, I could hardly put my magazine down. Every woman from Sarah Palin to the Tiger Women of China, from Aung San Suu Kyi to Maria Shriver, plus the 150 Fearless Women, should make us appreciate the sacrifices and struggles not only of the women of the world, but of those here at home.

I am a fan of Newsweek and Tina Brown, but I found your list of 150 fearless women lacking in pioneering female scientists or medical researchers. Women like Elizabeth Blackburn, Carol Greider, or Ada Yonath should most certainly qualify for representation. …
