Items that focus on physical and mental health, well-being and fitness, including runs, walks, exercise events, classes, health screenings, mental health screenings and support information, support groups starting up, etc. Deadline is two weeks before event date.

Bone health and arthritis: 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, Alden North Shore Rehab Center, 5050 W. Touhy Ave., Skokie. "What Do I Need to Know About Bone Health & Arthritis?" will be presented by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Matthew J. Jimenez. Attendees will learn about osteoporosis, arthritis and less invasive approaches to treating hip pain.
